They also show the very simple overhead catenary wire used to power the trams. Here, in the United States, the catenary is usually built to withstand Category 5 hurricanes in order to needlessly spend money and pay consultants, most of whom don't know the first thing about overhead wire design. If you would look at the overhead catenary of many of our tram systems, you'd be laughing for days at the ridiculous overbuilt designs. Here's a great market for German engineers.....
